Samsung Led 6000

In the first half of 2009 Samsung launched three new series of LED television sets.

LED technology is not to be confused as a rival to LCD TVs, however. LED is really only a different method of backlighting in LCD TVs. With the 6000, 7000 and 8000 series coming to take over the market, consumers now have a wide array of models to choose from.
A number of new features will come in handy in wooing customers from all walks of life. For those with an eye on their pocket and an appetite for something new will find the 6000 series to be the answer to their prayers. Although you won’t get all the features you would in a 7000 model, what you will get will be more than satisfactory.

The most eye-catching feature of the new LED models from Samsung (all three new series) is their slim design. They are slightly over an inch thick (1.2” to be exact). Now for something as advanced as an LED backlit, LCD TV, that is impressive. CCFL backlit televisions tend to be thicker, as the tubes need to be installed in rows, but these sets are about as thick as your index and middle finger joined together. Video fidelity on the 6000 series can go up to 120Hz, which effectively means higher quality playback from select media.
The user can set how high they want the Active Motion Plustm; for example, Blu-Ray playback will benefit from the higher fidelity, while lower-resolution media might appear to be up-scaled. The 6000 series is available in sizes ranging from 32” to 55”, so it is good for those looking for a smaller set or for those looking for a cheap larger set.

The contrast ratio on the 6000 series is less than the 8000 series models, but is on par with the 7000 series. It has an effective contrast ratio of 3,000,000: 1, as opposed to the 5,000,000: 1 on the 8000. However, most average consumers will be more than happy to settle for the 6000 series’ contrast ratio. The 6000 series has one feature not present in any other series or model, however.

That is the InfoLinktm RSS Service. This service provides users with updates about the weather, news, sports and so on at the touch of a button. So, that might be one feature that attracts your fancy. Like its cousins, the 6000 series also comes with USB2.0 connectivity.
That means you can easily connect your USB devices like MP3 players, Digital Cameras and Thumb Drives and view the contents on the screen. The 6000 series comes in a reddish color that the company has dubbed Rose Black. Ultimately, this is the perfect model for those looking for a solid, but entry level priced LED television set, with its wide range of choices.
